Ledlenser, headquarted in Solingen (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a globally leading designer and manufacturer of premium LED flashlights and headlamps used for professional, sporting and outdoor applications. Ledlenser was founded in 1994 by Rainer and Harald Opolka who sold the business to US-based Leatherman Tool Group Inc. in 2011.
The company produces a variety of torches and headlamps used in professional and industrial areas, including for the police force, firefighters, emergency services, industrial and security personnel. It also caters to outdoor enthusiasts, mountaineers, runners, cyclists and campers. With a wholly owned production site in China, numerous patents and an unrivalled in-house R&D capability, Ledlenser covers the entire value chain.
HOW INVISION PLAYS ITS PART
Invision alongside Afinum and the existing management team have jointly acquired all shares in Ledlenser from Leatherman Tool Group Inc. with the aim to grow the company globally.
The clear objective is to continue internationalising the sales footprint, invest in new and innovative products including addressing new market segments and continuing to build the premium brand which end-customers value and trust.
