2 Tracking and Web Analytics Tools
2.1 General Information on Tracking
For the purpose of designing our website to meet user needs and continuously optimizing it, we use the web analytics services listed below. In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted together with the log file data listed in Section 3 to a server operated by the service provider, where it is stored and processed. This may also involve transmission to servers abroad, e.g. in the USA (see Section 14 in this regard).
Through the processing of this data, we obtain, among other things, the following information:

2.2 Google Analytics
We use the web analytics service Google Analytics provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) and/or Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) (“Google”).
In this context, the data described in Section 11.1 regarding use of the website may be transmitted to Google’s servers in the USA for the processing purposes explained. IP address anonymization (“anonymizeIP”) is activated on this website, so your IP address is shortened prior to transmission within Switzerland, EU member states, or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Users can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the website (including their IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in.

2.3 Google Fonts
We use fonts provided by Google on our website to ensure a consistent display of certain typefaces. When you access the website, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google in order to display our website correctly on your device. In doing so, your browser establishes a connection to Google’s servers in the USA. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website was accessed via your IP address.
The storage and analysis of the data is based on our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the typeface on our website, within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

2.4 Google Maps
We use the Google Maps API (Application Programming Interface, “Google Maps”) provided by Google on our website for the visual display of geographic information (site maps). By using Google Maps, information about your use of our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
It is possible to disable the Google Maps service and prevent data transfer to Google by disabling JavaScript in your browser. Please note, however, that in this case you will not be able to use the map display.

2.5 Google ReCaptcha
We use Google’s reCAPTCHA on our website. reCAPTCHA is used to verify whether data entry on our website (e.g. for job applications) is being carried out by a human or by an automated program. To this end, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters our website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various pieces of information (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor spends on the site, or mouse movements performed). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The storage and analysis of the data is based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in protecting our website against abusive automated spying and against spam.

2.6 Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager on our website. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us, as marketers, to manage website tags through a single interface. The Tag Manager tool is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect personal data. According to Google, Google Tag Manager does not access this data itself. If a deactivation has been set at the domain or cookie level, it remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented via Google Tag Manager. You can prevent tags from being set at any time by preventing cookies from being set.
2.7 YouTube
We embed plugins from the YouTube video portal, operated by YouTube LLC (901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA) (“YouTube”), on our website. YouTube is a subsidiary of Google. Whenever you access a page that offers one or more YouTube video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a YouTube server in the USA. In the process, information about your visit and your IP address is stored. Through interactions with the YouTube plugins (e.g. clicking the start button), this information is also transmitted to and stored by YouTube. Further information on the collection and use of your data by YouTube can be found in YouTube’s or Google’s privacy policy.
If you have a YouTube user account and do not want YouTube to collect data about you via this website and link it to your membership data stored with YouTube, you must log out of YouTube before visiting this website.
In addition, YouTube calls up the Google Analytics analysis tool via an iFrame in which the video is displayed. This is YouTube’s own tracking, over which we have no control. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the opt-out tools that Google offers for some browsers.
