We are glad that after 10 years of successful growth under the ownership of Invision, SEG is sold to an investor with an excellent network in Asia, the largest market for hospitality education.
In the last 10 years, Invision supported SEG in its geographical expansion in Switzerland by adding César Ritz to the school portfolio and by opening a new campus in Lucerne. New academic programs such as culinary art and hospitality and design management were introduced. The sales network was strengthened internationally by opening new offices namely in Brazil and Canada and through the acquisition of the agent network in China and Hong Kong. Furthermore, the largest recruiting fair in the industry was introduced and further established giving the SEG students the possibility to find the ideal employer after their studies. Overall, the number of yearly students increased during the last 10 years from around 2’500 students to more than 6’000 students from 111 countries.
Summer Capital is determined to actively support SEG’s strategy of being a leader in
hospitality education. In addition, SEG’s growth and value creation are to be accelerated by its extensive network in greater China and Pan Asian region, a very important market for hospitality education.
Frank Becker, Managing Partner of Invision comments: “We are proud to have played a significant role in the successful expansion of Swiss Education Group in the last 10 years and that with Summer Capital the best buyer for the future development of SEG could be found.”
