INVISION VI (“INVISION”) has sold its stake in AK Group AG (“AK Group”), including its subsidiaries SkySale Schweiz GmbH (the Swiss e-commerce platform Apfelkiste.ch) and Marein AG, to listed Swiss telecommunications specialist mobilezone holding ag (“mobilezone”). The transaction reflects the strong development of AK Group during INVISION’s ownership and delivers an attractive return for the INVISION VI fund and its investors.
The transaction values AK Group at an enterprise value of approximately CHF 180 million. Closing is expected by the end of June 2026.
Value creation during INVISION’s ownership
INVISION acquired its stake in AK Group in 2021 and has since supported the company as an active entrepreneurial partner. Working closely with founder Pierre Droigk and the broader management team, several key strategic milestones were achieved.
Apfelkiste.ch was systematically expanded, with its product offering growing to more than 60,000 immediately available products. Through focused trend identification and targeted assortment expansion, the platform was successfully diversified and expanded beyond its core business. The acquisition of Marein AG in 2024 marked a strategically important step, significantly strengthening the Group’s capabilities in retail branding and sourcing.
INVISION also actively supported the further development of the organization, including the appointment of Marc Isler as operational CEO and the strengthening of the management team. In addition, professional reporting structures were introduced, and key value creation functions such as marketing and IT were insourced. The original business plan was significantly exceeded.
Today, AK Group employs around 100 people and generated revenue of more than CHF 100 million in 2025, with EBITDA of approximately CHF 20 million. No changes are planned to the operational leadership team, employees or locations.
Transaction comments
Pierre Droigk, Founder and former Group CEO of AK Group, said: “INVISION has been a valuable partner to us, supporting not only with capital, but above all through strategic guidance and operational expertise. Together, we have developed Apfelkiste into one of Switzerland’s leading e-commerce platforms. With mobilezone, an exciting new chapter now begins, allowing us to combine our strengths and further enhance the customer experience.”
Christian Hemmrich, Partner at INVISION, commented: “We are proud of what Pierre and the entire team have achieved together with us at AK Group. What started as a successful founder-led e-commerce business has developed into a professionally structured and diversified group generating more than CHF 100 million in revenue.
