Careanesth partners with INVISION

INVISION, a leading investment company focusing on succession solutions and growth financing for medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries, acquires a stake in Careanesth AG. The previous majority shareholder and managing director, Dr. Alain Meyer, remains substantially invested and will lead the company in his role as CEO with the existing management team.

Since its founding in 1999, Careanesth has become the leading staffing agency for the placement of nursing professionals in the Swiss healthcare sector. 30 employees and more than 10’000 freelancers and stand-ins work for their customers every day, making a significant contribution to healthcare in Switzerland. Careanesth has the technologies to address the shortage of skilled workers, but also to promote work-life balance.

Together with the management of Careanesth, INVISION will support the continuation of the successful growth course. The expansion of the product range, ongoing digitization, and the acquisition of new customers are the key factors for future development. Dr. Alain Meyer will continue in his role as CEO and the management team will remain unchanged. Careanesth’s locations and jobs are not affected by the transaction and, together with its highly qualified temporary workforce, will continue to be an important pillar for the success of Careanesth.

Dr. Alain Meyer, CEO of Careanesth: «The decision of the previous shareholders to cooperate with INVISION was preceded by intensive and careful clarifications. We have found the perfect solution to pursue and implement Careanesth’s strategic goals even more consistently. With INVISION, Careanesth now has a partner with the know-how and network to further expand its markets and services and position the company even more strongly.»

Marco Martelli, Partner at INVISION: «Careanesth has built an impressive market position and is in an excellent technological position to take advantage of market opportunities. We are very much looking forward to working with Dr. Alain Meyer, the management team, and the employees to further develop Careanesth, to secure its position as the market leader in Switzerland and to sustainably align the company for the future.»

The investment in Careanesth AG is the first transaction of the INVISION VII fund launched in early
July 2022.

About Carenesth

Careanesth was founded in 1999 and initially lent exclusively anesthesia care professionals and then certified nurses to hospitals and clinics. Since 2014 and under the leadership of Dr. Alain Meyer, the range of professions and geographical locations expanded. Today, Careanesth is the largest temporary staffing company for the placement of medical and nursing professionals in the Swiss healthcare sector. At its locations in Zurich, Basel, Bern, Lucerne, St. Gallen and the back office in Visp, 30 employees work with hospitals, Spitex organizations, psychiatric institutions, outpatient centers, practices and long-term institutions throughout German-speaking Switzerland. Through its web based OnlineDispo, the needs of both employees and employers are met. The platform technology aims to regulate the demand for personnel with the offer itself as far as possible. Thus, more than 10’000 freelancers and stand-ins are working for the Swiss healthcare system every day and make a significant contribution to maintaining it.
