UTIMACO TS (“UTS”) IN PROFILE

Founded in 1994, the company headquartered in Aachen (Germany) is a global leader in mission-critical security software solutions, specializing in lawful interception of various forms of communication. With its Lawful Interception Management System, the company supports telecom providers in meeting legal requirements by providing a secure and reliable platform for the lawful surveillance of communication services. The system complies with international standards such as ETSI and 3GPP and offers a scalable solution that can be seamlessly integrated into various network infrastructures.

INVISION’S ROLE

INVISION VII (“INVISION”), a leading mid-market investor focusing on succession solutions and growth financing, has agreed, together with funds managed by PINOVA as well as the operational management, to acquire UTS. The transaction represents a carve-out of a business unit of the Utimaco Group. INVISION and PINOVA intend to support the ongoing growth through the introduction of new innovative products, ongoing internationalization as well as selected add-on acquisitions in the cyber-security space. Together with the operational management team led by Fernando Gomes (CEO), INVISION and PINOVA intend to expand the market-leading position of the company.

We are delighted to have completed the carve-out of UTS together with INVISION and PINOVA. Both investors share the same vision for our company and the desire to continue growing in the lawful interception space as well as adjacent markets. As a core and independent company, UTS will be able to continue offering high quality solutions and services to its customers and be in a position to invest in new and innovative products.
