PRIVATE EQUITY INVESTMENTS

Private equity investments is the core business of Invision. Since 1997, Invision has raised more than EUR 400 m in capital and invested in over 60 companies. In October 2008, Invision closed its latest fund, Invision IV, with commitments of EUR 185 m.

Successful track record

To date Invision has invested in over 60 businesses. Of these portfolio companies 9 completed an IPO and 16 were sold in a trade sale.

Invision I and Invision II have been fully divested with above average IRR’s. Invision III is currently in its final investment phase and its performance ranks in the top quartile of comparable private equity funds.

The Invision investment team consists of more than 10 professionals with extensive industry and investment experience. In addition, Invision has built a strong network of renowned industry experts and professional contacts that advise the team in the selection and value creation process. We play an active role in the board of directors and bring added value through our extensive network.

History

Invision was founded in 1997 as corporate venture capital division of Metro Holding. In 1998 Aureus Private Equity, an independent Swiss based Venture Capital Firm was started and its first fund was raised. In 2000, Invision completed a spin-off from Metro and merged with Aureus Private Equity. In 2001, Invision III, a balanced venture fund, was closed with EUR 90 m commitments. The company’s latest fund, Invision IV, was closed in October 2008 with commitments of EUR 185 m.
