Gerhard Weisschädel joined Invision in 2005 following
5 years as Managing Director of Veronis Suhler Stevenson
(VSS), a leading US private equity firm. Gerhard Weisschädel
was based in London with responsibility for investments
in Europe.
Gerhard Weisschädel acted during his time with VSS
as CEO of Mediatel Holding (YBR Group), Vienna, a yellow
page company led by VSS and 3i Plc., the UK private equity
house. The private equity houses invested EUR 300 million
in the company. In March 2005 YBR was sold for EUR 1.825
million to the Macquarie-Group returning more than 4 times
the money to equity investors.
Prior to this, he served from 1995-2000 as CEO of Deutsche
Telekom Media and as Managing Director of Deutsche Telekom
AG. In 1992 Gerhard Weisschädel founded CTS Eventim,
a computer ticketing service company, and acted as CEO until
its sale in 1995.
From 1985 he spent 7 years at Tandem Computers as Director
of Sales and Marketing for Europe and, latterly, as CEO
of the Software Division. He began his career in 1975 at
Nixdorf Computer AG in a variety of sales and marketing
positions, culminating in three years as Head of Sales and
Marketing in the Asia Pacific region.
Gerhard Weisschädel has a degree from the University
of Karlsruhe in Germany. He speaks German and English and
is a German national.
