CyberGuard Corporation announced today that its revenues are projected to reach USD 70 million by the end of 2005.

Tuesday, April 19 - 2005

The company's worldwide revenues have been growing at over 40 per cent, marking ten consecutive quarters of sequential revenue growth.

Addressing a press conference to announce the company's growth strategy, Pat Clawson, Chief Executive Officer, CyberGuard Corporation said, 'We have achieved a very impressive growth rate over the years and our projected revenues for the end of the year are proof of CyberGuard's admirable performance across all markets. We have established ourselves as a dynamic information security firm, with a growing customer base in all major markets including the Middle East.'

'A rapid influx of technologically advanced computer systems and solutions have brought with it greater vulnerabilities and threats to IT products, amplifying the need for high quality security systems. Security managers need to be able to centrally manage and control policy globally for a broad spectrum of products, to extend the scope of these products to address new security threats and ensure greater efficiency,' he added.

'We are mainly involved in providing network and content security infrastructure to emerging e-initiatives in the Middle East region, such as e-learning, e-government and e-medicine. Further, key sectors like banking, oil & gas, defence & telecommunications have extensively deployed security solutions to support the various e-service solutions introduced for their customers,' remarked Clawson.

'CyberGuard opened its regional office for the Middle East in Dubai in September 2004, and is expanding its presence in the region, in recognition of the potential for growth in cutting-edge IT security solutions. As part of our growth strategy for the region we will focus on targeting a wider spectrum of industries in this region, which is a strategically important market for us as it is still evolving, giving us a good opportunity to create required awareness about IT security and to position CyberGuard as a trusted security solutions provider,' said Bashar Bashaireh, Regional Manager Middle East and North Africa, CyberGuard.

'We are expanding our network of Value Added Resellers and distributors to have a better coverage for existing and new territories in the region. Recently we have appointed partners such as US Telecommunications, Omnix Qatar, Advanced Integrated Media (AIM), I (TS)2 in the Middle East and eSecureSolutions PTC in Pakistan and are currently identifying new partnerships in the North Africa region,' added Bashaireh.

The Global Command Center of CyberGuard manages all the products of the company from one central location with one common interface. This Center enables customers to configure and manage hundreds of devices from one location, resulting in significant reductions in the total cost of ownership to companies. CyberGuard is the global leader in delivering Application Layer Firewalls and will strengthen its position in this area.

'Flexibility is one of the main features that gives CyberGuard an edge in competitive markets. We deliver comprehensive solutions that are tailored to the needs of specific customers, irrespective of their size and operations. This makes us well suited for the Middle East markets, which is growing at a steady pace,' concluded Clawson.

CyberGuard has deployed over 250,000 products in organisations around the world. The company's Firewall, VPN (Virtual Private Network) and Content Security Management Products are relied upon by companies and public sector organisations globally. Its product suites comprise comprehensive, integrated security systems which offer highly adaptive, scalable information security solutions that guard against network intrusion and content-based vulnerabilities, detecting and eliminating security threats in real-time for performance optimisation.
