CyberGuard's Technology Powers Trusonic's Newly-Launched MBOX Media Player

BOCA RATON, Fla., April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CyberGuard(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: CGFW), a global provider of security solutions that protect the business-critical information assets of Global 2000 enterprises and government organizations, today announced that its technology is powering Trusonic's newest MBOX Media Player which was recently launched. Trusonic provides custom business music and messaging services and maintains licensing relationships with major record labels and over 200,000 Independent Artists representing over 1.5 million songs.

The joint development of the MBOX Media Player is the most recent example of a long and successful partnership between Trusonic and CyberGuard. The MBOX Media Player accesses Trusonic's web-services interfaces to download new music, messages and schedules, locally store them and then play them back in a pre-programmed schedule. This enables customers to enjoy high quality, always available, fully customized audio experience without the cost and reliability issues associated with streaming solutions.

The Trusonic MBOX is based around an ARM RISC System on Chip that includes AC97 codecs, Ethernet Controller and USB interfaces. Music connectivity to business audio systems is provided through standard RCA jacks, while Internet communications is provided through a Fast Ethernet jack for broadband or phone jack for analog modem.
