Aldata and Wincor Nixdorf concluded a partnership
agreement
Aldata Solution Oyj Stock Exchange Release
10.2.2005 at 13.00
Aldata Solution Oyj and Wincor Nixdorf have agreed to a global
partnership. Under the partnership, the two companies will jointly
develop and market software products aimed at retailers with international
operations. The goal is to reduce the complexity of IT infrastructures
in the retail sector through a tight integration of software products
and to simplify the central control of store processes.
The collaboration involves Aldata's G.O.L.D. supply chain software
and Wincor Nixdorf's global store solution portfolio. These will
be bundled into a new offering, called "Store Execution 7/24."
- With this cooperation Aldata G.O.L.D software can better be
offered to Wincor-Nixdorf's customers. This agreement provides
clear benefits also to our common customers, such as Tesco and
Carrefour, says Mr. Matti Hietala, Aldata CEO.
- The ability to provide solutions internationally and support
them locally is a key factor in optimizing response times and
support costs. The cooperation between Aldata and Wincor Nixdorf
meets this requirement fully. It offers retailers a range of products
that meet all their needs, from their stores to their head office,
says Mr. Achim Schlangenotto, Wincor Nixdorf retail store solutions
director.
The agreement made with Wincor Nixdorf is part of Aldata's internationalisation
process, according to which Aldata partners with leading vendors
to target new areas. The alliance complements the strengths of
Aldata's existing integrated retail solution by providing instant
coverage outside Aldata's current territories for in-store solutions.
