Aldata delivers smart card based loyalty system for
Finlandia Hotels.
Aldata Solution Oyj PRESS RELEASE 18 January 2005
Aldata Smart Card Oy, part of Aldata Group, has signed a contract
with Finlandia Hotels, a marketing chain for privately owned hotels,
to supply a loyalty system based on radio frequency identification
(RFID) smart cards. Finlandia Hotels is the first Finnish hotel
chain to change to a smart card based loyalty system. The new
system will be in operation by end of 2005.
Aldata will supply Finlandia Hotels with a RFID loyalty system
consisting of frequent guest and clearing systems, RFID readers
and software for the hotels, and Mifare customer loyalty cards.
"The new system opens up new marketing opportunities for
Finlandia Hotels. It allows us to use segmented marketing based
on customers' interests and preferences. In addition, a smart
card bonus system saves customers' time and effort, as bonus details
are updated in real time on their cards", states Ulla Remes,
Marketing Manager at Finlandia Hotels.
"The contract with a Finnish hotel chain opens a new market
segment for us and further strengthens our position as a supplier
of smart card systems", says Ari Saapunki, Managing Director
of Aldata Smart Card Oy.
