Valista Announces Agreement with America Online for
Use of Offer Management Software
Dublin, Ireland and Belmont, CA, USA – 15th November 2004
- Valista (www.valista.com), the leading provider of payments
software enabling the purchase of premium services over web and
mobile, today announced that America Online, Inc., the world’s
leader in interactive services, has chosen Valista OffersPlus
to help support its premium services efforts by packaging the
Company’s premium products and services in a variety of
targeted consumer ‘offers’.
Valista OffersPlus enables companies to reduce their time to
market for different offers and helps them reach a wider customer
base by supporting various access channels, payment methods and
multiple ways to buy services. Users can purchase goods and services
according to their needs. First time and low-use customers can
pay for services individually, while higher-use or loyal users
can save by purchasing bundles (packages of content) and subscriptions.
The OffersPlus software allows companies to create packaged bundles
of services or promotional offerings with discounted or free introductory
subscription periods, with or without commitments, in order to
capture new customers or encourage existing customers to upgrade
to a higher service level or options package. Valista OffersPlus
simplifies the bundling of offers by providing service providers
with an easy-to-use interface to quickly create and provision
various types of offers in a reduced timeframe.

The offer models enabled by Valista OffersPlus, include time-limited
and time-and-event-limited, individual or bundled offers. The
system manages consumer access and consumption, and manages the
automatic charging according to the charge period and recurrence
rules.

at the GSM Association Awards 2004 and was chosen as one of Red
Herring’s Top 100 global companies.
