ALDATA SIGNS CONTRACT WITH ALKO OY FOR IN-STORE SYSTEMS

Aldata and Finnish Alko Oy have signed an agreement for the supply
of centralized store management and In-Store systems.
The contract includes centralized store management system, based
on Aldata's G.O.L.D. Shop software. The contract also includes
G.O.L.D. POS In-Store system to more than 300 stores with some
1000 cash registers. Aldata's Payment Platform, EMV-compatible
software for debit/credit card payment, will be supplied with
the In-Store system.
The order is a full-service agreement, including software, project
management, hardware, as well as maintenance and support services.
The project will start immediately and deliveries to the stores
will begin during 2005. The order will be completed during 2006.
Assistant Vice President of Data Administration, Jukka Litmanen
from Alko Oy states: "The important factors in choosing the
In-Store system were the modern architecture of the solution,
the supplier's experience in supplying in-store systems and the
good functionality of the centralized In-Store system."
Jukka Koivisto, Managing Director of Aldata Finland Oy, stresses:
"This contract is extremely important for us, since it is
the first order for the new generation In-Store system with centralized
store management in Finland and in the whole world. The architecture
represents well the clear trend in the sector towards centrally
managed in-store systems. The contract is especially important
for Aldata because we are supplying the customer with a broad
package of hardware and services."
