Kentucky Signs Contract to Increase Computer Security, Reduce Spam

The contract is designed to help reduce spam, e-mail viruses and worms and help the commonwealth implement Internet filtering and reporting. It's anticipated that this will increase security for the state's information systems, improve protection from unsolicited e-mail and consolidate critical security defenses to protect state resources.

Implementation in the executive branch agencies is expected to be complete within 90 days. It's expected that many other agencies and offices of state government will be taking advantage of the contract over time as well.
