TRADOS finishes 2003 with Record Revenues and Major Customer Wins

Sunnyvale, Calif. – February 24, 2004 – TRADOS Inc., the worldwide leader in globalization solutions, today announced impressive end-of-the-year results as it carries that momentum forward to the new year. In fiscal year 2003, TRADOS signed on more than 150 new enterprise customers worldwide, sold more than 16,000 desktop licenses, released several new industry product innovations, and continued to post strong financial numbers. In the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2003 TRADOS recorded the highest revenues in the company’s history, closing the year with a strong cash position and profitability. Revenues for the entire fiscal year grew by nearly 30%, fueled by an 80% increase in server license revenues TRADOS closed 330 corporate license deals as well as recorded sales of product updates to the company’s service provider and freelancer installed bases. Strong Customer Demand Worldwide As a key growth driver, TRADOS signed new customers worldwide in diverse industries such as financial services, technology, telecommunications, government and other strategic sectors. In Q4 alone, new major customers include in North America, Bloomberg, Compuware Corporation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, the United Nations, and the U.S. Department of State; in Europe, Allianz Group, Belgacom, Federal Express, Sony Ericsson, and Volkswagen AG; and in Asia and Australia, Fuji, Mitsubishi, NEC, Samsung, and TAB Limited. “We are seeing dynamic growth in the globalization and translation industry as the economy picks up and businesses expand abroad,” stated Dev Ganesan, president and chief executive officer of TRADOS. “More companies are finding it imperative to invest in our technologies to quickly, efficiently, and accurately bridge the localization gap that impacts their international business and operations. Our success in what is still a slow technology market is a testament to not only their critical needs, but also the compelling value of our solutions. In fact, TRADOS is hiring an additional 40 people in the next couple of months to keep up with customer demand.” New Innovations to Define the Industry Demonstrating innovation and leadership, TRADOS introduced a range of new products to solve the most pressing problems of globalizing content. In Q4, the company teamed with Documentum, a leader in enterprise content management, to unveil the TRADOS Language Server for Documentum – an industry-first integration of language technology into the heart of a content management platform to seamlessly provide companies both best-in-class capabilities. TRADOS also released additional solutions during the year such as TRADOS 6.5, TRADOS TM (Translation Memory) Server, TRADOS MultiTerm, and other products for the entire globalization supply chain. Technology analysts and press have regarded TRADOS as the leader in global content management and praised its clear vision and ability to execute. As Steve McClure, a research vice president of IDC’s Software Research Group, attested: “TRADOS can now offer an end-to-end solution that extends from the desktop to enterprise globalization management.
