Aldata has signed a global agreement with Carrefour

The project, lead by IBM as integrator, will start with a pilot country Thailand in early 2004 with an objective of roll-out over the region in less than 3 years. In the first stage the agreement will consist of:

- Aldata G.O.L.D. Central for the central head-office and
- Aldata G.O.L.D. Shop for shop back-office management.

Additional modules will be considered after the pilot phase is completed.

''Our choice for Aldata G.O.L.D. has been based on its proven references with major global retailers particularly in the regions where CARREFOUR is present, the complete functional coverage of our business needs that we could check during our selection process, the up-to-date web based technology and the flexibility of the application architecture which would allow us to face the different situations in the countries'', states Bruno Cabasso, CIO of Carrefour Group.

René Homeyer, Deputy CEO of Aldata comments: ''This deal with a major retailer shows once more that G.O.L.D. is recognized as a global robust and modern solution that can cover users expectations and bring cost savings for our customers in a short period of time.''

''We are extremely happy to deepen our cooperation with Carrefour. This agreement confirms that we have chosen the right product strategy. In addition, it is a clear sign that Aldata is able to serve its customers globally, based on excellent resources, application know-how and partners. This is the way we intend to grow also in the future'', states Matti Hietala, President and CEO of Aldata Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the agreement. The deliveries to Thailand will take place in early 2004 with a full rollout starting at the end of 2004.
