PADERBORN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 2003--Webwasher, a leading provider of Internet content security software, grew faster than any other vendor of Web filtering software during 2002, according to a new report from IDC, a leading provider of global IT research and advice. The analyst's "Worldwide Secure Content Management Forecast Update and Competitive Vendor Shares, 2002-2007" show that webwasher posted revenue gains of 114 per cent moving from 3.5 million US dollar in 2001 to 7.5 million in 2002. Brian Burke, senior research analyst at IDC's Internet Security division: "Webwasher quickly emerged in the IT Security scene and has continued its swift pace of innovation ever since. During the past year, webwasher has added important components to its gateway security products and now offers the industry's most comprehensive portfolio. With a vision for growth and an ability to execute, we expect that webwasher will quickly find itself as a major player in the IT security industry."

Dr. Horst Joepen, CEO of webwasher: "Our rapid growth is a direct result of our strategy of integrating all of the key content security functions for easy deployment and simple administration. With the deployment of easily upgradeable modules or a comprehensive integrated suite, WebWasher customers are guaranteed better performance than multiple point solutions and a lower TCO."
